No wonder CNN's Brian Stelter is so obsessed with Fox News; check out these ratings

Full disclosure: We’ve known CNN’s ratings have been in the toilet for a while now, but we just had to use this tweet because of the photo, so we’re using it.

The Daily Caller’s Amber Athey writes:

CNN performed the worst out of the cable news networks, failing to crack the top five for total day and coming in at number ten for primetime.

In primetime, CNN lost to TLC, which hosts shows like “OutDaughtered,” “My 600 Pound Life,” “90 Day Fiance,” and “Dr. Pimple Popper.”

CNN was able to draw just 851,000 viewers for primetime anchors Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, and Anderson Cooper. TLC’s lifestyle and reality shows raked in 921,000 viewers during primetime.

Just to double-check, we clicked on over to TVNewser and sure enough, CNN in prime time came in at the number 10 slot, behind HGTV, the History Channel, TLC and the Food Network.

We’d say people are just burned out on cable news, but in first place in prime time was Fox News with 2,761,000 viewers, compared to CNN’s 851,000. Fox News was also number one for the total day on basic cable.

No wonder CNN’s media guy Brian Stelter seems so cranky whenever he posts about Fox News. His network’s losing to “OutDaughtered.”

Maybe it’ll happen, and Jim Acosta will finally get that prime time hosting gig he’s been aiming for.

This guy’s willing to help out CNN with tips for some new shows to revamp the lineup:

Hypothetical question: Could CNN beat The Gorilla Channel in prime time if it existed?
