As Twitchy reported earlier Saturday, California Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday pardoned five illegal aliens who were facing deportation, among 56 pardons and 14 commutations handed down.

President Donald Trump weighed in via Twitter on Saturday:

Activist Chelsea Handler decided to somehow conflate Trump’s tweet with the Sacramento police shooting of 22-year-old Stephon Clark earlier this month. Police say they believed Clark was brandishing a gun, but it turned out to be a cell phone.

Trump didn’t weigh in on the Clark shooting on Twitter, but Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders this week said it was a matter best left to local authorities:

Handler seemed outraged that the president chose to tweet about Brown’s pardons but not the Clark incident, going so far as to call Trump a racist (certainly not a first) and alleging that he most likely had committed all of the same crimes as those in line to be deported.

Wow — so Handler really thinks Trump is “most likely guilty” of kidnapping, robbery, domestic violence, and drug dealing, just like those in line to be deported? Not to mention stealing the election by colluding with Putin? Um, wasn’t she going to take a break from politics on Twitter or are we thinking of someone else?

Hey, they’re not shooting children, so it’s all good. And they don’t carry “semi-automatics” — we’re assuming they carry muskets.
