Hannah Orenstein wrote back in August about the “gift” nail artist Asa Bree, who works at Portland, Oregon nail salon Finger Bang, gave the Internet: an Instagram photo of her “alarmingly realistic” vagina manicure.
Nail artist Asa Bree has graced the internet with a gift. It’s a glittery purple gel manicure with one accent nail on each hand — and that accent just so happens to be an alarmingly realistic depiction of a vagina, painted lovingly with five distinct shades of pink and topped with a pearl.
It’s remarkable to think that in an era where women dress in full-body vagina costumes to protest the patriarchy, a vagina manicure would be considered toning it down.
