Did Iran Cave or Was This TACO Tuesday? CNN's Erin Burnett Apparently Disappointed

AP Photo/Mark Schiefelbein

I was expecting to be posting videos of Iran's power plants and bridges being lit up right about now. Still, as the AP reported earlier, Iran has accepted a two-week ceasefire, so no fireworks tonight. Bonchie from Twitchy sister site RedState made a really good point earlier today, and he was dead on. As I said in the piece announcing the ceasefire, a lot of people in the replies, who were spending all day yesterday calling for President Trump to be removed before he launched a nuclear attack on Iran, claim that the ceasefire was just proof that Iran holds all the cards. If Trump had attacked Iran's infrastructure, he would have been committing war crimes, or even worse, genocide. If he didn't attack, we'd be looking at a week's worth of TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out) in the news cycle.

It wasn't even a half-hour past the 8 p.m. deadline, and CNN's Erin Burnett was already dropping the TACO talking point.

Nice chyron from CNN, as usual: "Trump backs down from threat of 'whole civilization' dying tonight." Not "Iran backs down under threat of attack," but Trump backs down. And again, if Trump had dropped one bomb, they'd be screaming about war crimes. What is it you people want?
