Twitter Moments noted back on Nov. 7 that Jill Biden is set to be the first first lady with a doctorate:
Professor Jill Biden is a lifelong educator who is set to become the first FLOTUS with a doctorate degree and the first to hold a full-time job in addition to conducting her FLOTUS duties. https://t.co/NifTqY80Sp

Remember when Whoopi Goldberg on “The View” called Biden “an amazing doctor” and suggested she be the next surgeon general? Joseph Epstein wrote in the Wall Street Journal that Biden … “kiddo” … drop the Dr. from her name and enjoy going by first lady.
“As for your Ed.D., Madame First Lady, hard-earned though it may have been, please consider stowing it, at least in public, at least for now.
Forget the small thrill of being Dr. Jill, and settle for the larger thrill of living for the next four years in the best public housing in the world as First Lady Jill Biden.”
The op-ed did not go over well.
This is a real paragraph – written by Joseph Epstein – that was published in the Wall Street Journal https://t.co/1hS8Kcu7cK pic.twitter.com/wFBmfzfidQ

“… sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic.”
Lots of dunking going on of this insane piece. But not enough attention being paid to a WSJ opinion piece aiming to be taken seriously referring to the soon-to-be First Lady as “kiddo.” https://t.co/NdT14cw0ti pic.twitter.com/o6lSl3uZxm

I absolutely will fucking not post the link, because fuck giving The Wall Street Journal clicks for publishing this trash. He talks at length about honorary degrees (which Dr. Biden does NOT have) seemingly just so he can make a comment that is both misogynist AND racist. pic.twitter.com/J0ejioR2EL

Merriam-Webster even got in a shot:
The word 'doctor' comes from the Latin word for "teacher." https://t.co/wUihrn6Hyq

Here’s Mr. Kamala Harris:
Dr. Biden earned her degrees through hard work and pure grit. She is an inspiration to me, to her students, and to Americans across this country. This story would never have been written about a man. pic.twitter.com/mverJiOsxC

Emily Larsen, however, got in the “shot and chaser” with a Washington Post analysis by Callum Borchers about Sebastian Gorka from 2017.

“Sebastian Gorka, a deputy assistant to President Trump, really, really, likes to be called ‘Dr. Gorka’ — a hang-up for which he was mocked last week by comedian Samantha Bee.” So when a female “comedian” mocks Gorka for wanting to be referred to by his title, it’s OK, because it’s just “a hang-up.”
Bonus: "I'm hoping Dr. Jill becomes the surgeon general, his wife,” Whoopi Goldberg said on The View in March. “Joe Biden's wife. She would never do it but, yeah, she's a hell of a doctor. She's an amazing doctor” https://t.co/GSaiHId8h7

To be honest, yeah, we think Jill Biden insisting on being called Dr. Biden is a bit much. We’ll bet the mainstream media never makes the mistake of forgetting her degree, though, or writes disparaging pieces about her shoes or accent or Christmas decorations.
