WUT? The New York Times cooking Instagram pretends to discover chips on a sandwich.

So this whole piece is going to be about mocking the New York Times for the sake of mocking them but we enjoy that kind of thing and we assume our readers like this as well so here we are. The plan is to make fun of the potato chips on a sandwich post by The New York Times cooking Instagram for this entire article. Please join us in the laughter.

Chips on your sandwich is the kind of stuff we all learned in elementary school for sure!

This was our first Breakfast Club reference and we have to tell you, we made that sandwich and we do not suggest you try it.

HA! This is a fact. If the New York Times talks about it, then it will be 20 bucks in a restaurant near you very soon.

We agree. Depending on the chip, they can slide a little.

We have done this. It is not as bad as it sounds, but it should not be a topic for journalism. Of course, we say this as we are writing about it …

That will be our next article. We are pro crust but not eating the heels of the bread that are all crust. We are not sure if we can make a whole article out of that position but we can try if you all demand it because we have made a whole piece about chips on a sandwich and we feel invigorated by the idea we can make ANYTHING into something to laugh at.

We have to tell you upfront that David Burg is one of our favorite tweeters so anything he says we are going to support, but this tweet was so perfect. The New York Times is indeed full of rich bougie crap takes and this one is just one of many more to come.

El-OH-EL. Seriously, how did that even make it to the New York Times Cooking Instagram? It is so out of touch.

Our second Breakfast Club take. We feel like the New York Times is too full of themselves to have seen Breakfast Club, and if they did they only related to Claire Standish and the sushi lunch.

We will end with that gem. The New York Times Cooking thinks they have come up with the best thing since sliced bread!

Never change New York Times, we love the simple and easy-to-mock stories!
