Olivia Wilde did an interview for Interview Magazine with Maggie Gyllenhaal, also an American actress. During the discussion, they talked about the film Don’t Worry Darling. Wilde says the villain in the film, was based on Jordan Peterson.
‘We based that character on this insane man, Jordan Peterson, who is this pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community.’
Needless to say, that little swipe made some waves in the Twitterverse.

We found it amusing that some people saw so many things trending about the movie but could not figure out the issue.
Twitter is telling me Don’t Worry Darling is controversial. But everyone is talking about how there is a controversy, not what it is. Is Harry Styles or Olivia Wilde the bad guy? Maybe both. Chris Pine is present. Jordan Peterson and Shia LaBeouf are also involved somehow. Idk.

This editor admits that we have seen a lot of stuff trending about this movie over the past few weeks. We may be jaded, but somehow we think celebrities just make up things to say around movie releases just to get press for the movie.

Even if Wilde made up some crazy things to say just to get some headlines, Mikhaila Peterson, Jordan’s daughter, and podcaster decided to address the comment. Mainly pointing out that calling her father an incel is ridiculous as he has specifically stated the opposite.

Some people took Olivia to task for the seeming hypocrisy of her words versus her actions. Hollywood being a bunch of smarmy hypocrites is not really anything new, but Wilde in particular seems to like to point fingers at others and never look at herself.

That is a good point. The definition of Incel is a member of an online community of young men who consider themselves unable to attract women sexually, typically associated with views that are hostile toward women and men who are sexually active.
Having children would seem to disqualify Peterson.

Hollywood thinking they are our superiors is nothing new. People stating out loud they are over it seems to be happening more often and this editor is VERY happy about that.

Welp, that kind of ties a nice little bow over the whole mess. Who is Olivia Wilde to pretend she is somehow morally superior? She is just another Hollywood actress/director who thinks her opinion is of utmost importance. We do not begrudge her for having an opinion, we are just tired of Hollywood pushing their opinions on all of us and thinking theirs matters more than ours. We are also tired of anyone who does not have a far-left opinion, being drug through the mud and painted with terms like ‘ pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community ‘.
