Writer E J Rosetta (who, per her Twitter bio, is a Lesbian contributor to Huffington Post and Pink News, among other sites) shared the results of her three month investigation into JK Rowling’s alleged transphobia:

In many cases, one groups rights are being sacrificed for the other, with the most vulnerable women often paying the price. Here in Britain, we always want to support both sides but realise that in some cases (like DV Shelters), that is impossible.
And JK was paying attention.

JK saw the loopholes being created & knew that women needed a voice. So instead of sitting back & wishing everyone well, said “It’s got to be me, hasn’t it?”. She did something terrifying & amazing & used her voice, I suspect knowing damn well what was to come.

JK Rowling could have indeed just sat back and said nothing and never had to deal with the endless torrent of abuse she gets online for speaking up. She’s been consistently clear on her position that while she supports every person’s right to live how they feel, there has to be a line drawn somewhere when it comes to this issue:
So why am I doing this? Why speak up? Why not quietly do my research and keep my head down?
Well, I’ve got five reasons for being worried about the new trans activism, and deciding I need to speak up.
Another good read, and one people definitely actually SHOULD read if they really want to know where JK Rowling is at with where she stands.
Shame on those who have framed her under the guise of “reporting” when you must know, deep down, you are just chucking out clickbait & stirring up hate. Shame on those who followed that propaganda without critical thought.
