Tweeter shares horrifying personal story for people who think the IRS is fair or "reasonable"

For those people who think the addition of 87,000 IRS agents is nothing to be alarmed about, Tweeter @LibertyJen shared a cautionary tale of just how “reasonable” the tax collection agency can be.

If you think this story has a happy ending, you must not be familiar with the federal government.

Read that again. Monthly payments to the IRS that were more than their mortgage payments. They did the right thing, and somehow managed to fulfill their “obligation”. That should have been the end of it but of course it wasn’t.

An additional five years, after they were told their debt had been paid in full.

But wait, it gets worse!

They stole from an 11-year-old’s piggy bank to get money for a debt that she wasn’t even capable of incurring at that age. They took family mementos to pay for a debt that had nothing to do with the person who had passed them down.

They took the family’s means of transportation. We’re not sure how removing the ability to get to work facilitates the ability to pay off a trumped-up debt, but then again, we don’t use government “logic”.

There is no higher agency.

That’s the moral of this story. If a federal government agency wants you, they will get you. They will not stop until they find a way to make you pay. It’s how they justify their wretched existence.

It’s coming.
