Joe Biden's Cognitive Health Is a Beam in the Left's Eye

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus talks asks his followers, 'Why do you see the speck in your neighbour's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?'

Democrats, and the medial professionals who shill for them, would do well to remember this.

Let's start with a walk down memory lane, shall we?

During COVID, while I worked in a local hospital, I was regaled with stories about how RNs like me were frontline heroes, bravely caring for people during an awful, deadly pandemic.

I hated that praise, because I was just doing my job. I hated it even more when I realized -- pretty early on in the pandemic -- that it was not the five-alarm fire the media and certain politicians made it out to be. And I was downright embarrassed when my fellow health care 'professionals' started posting elaborately choreographed dance routines to TikTok and YouTube.

A profession swamped by people dying of COVID -- a virus so dangerous we had to lock down for months and keep kids out of school and ban funerals and weddings and shutter businesses -- would not have time to work on viral videos.

It gave nursing a black eye. That black eye got even worse when BLM riots became a thing.

The same medical 'professionals' who condemned anti-lockdown protesters were suddenly, miraculously, okay with BLM riots burning down cities because it was a matter of 'social justice.'

Kids going to school or running your business, not so much, apparently. These are people who didn't have to worry about getting paid during the pandemic, while government shutdown hair salons and restaurants, and they had the audacity to say protesting for your livelihood (or your child's education) was wrong.

But torching Minneapolis and Kenosha was justified.

Puh-leeze.

This story also doesn't help my opinion of my fellow health care workers:

CBS News reports (emphasis added):

More than 230 doctors, nurses and health care professionals, most of whom are backing Vice President Kamala Harris, are calling on former President Donald Trump to release his medical records, arguing that he should be transparent about his health "given his advancing age."

"Trump is falling concerningly short of any standard of fitness for office and displaying alarming characteristics of declining acuity," the 238 signatories wrote in a letter dated Oct. 13 and first obtained by CBS News. "In the limited opportunities we can examine his behavior, he's providing a deeply concerning snapshot."

The letter was organized by the group "Doctors for Harris," which is unaffiliated with Harris' campaign.

First, I'm going to call bulls**t on a group called 'Doctors for Harris' being unaffiliated with the campaign. They are. Especially since those professionals back Harris, as CBS News says.

They're a partisan organization who put politics before the ethical principles of the profession.

As of October 10, there are 5.7 million nurses in the United States and 1.1 million doctors. That's 5.8 million medical professionals, which means the 238 people who signed this letter represent 0.0033% of America's healthcare providers. A fraction of a percent.

Yet CBS News is presenting their letter as if they have some moral authority over the 5.8 million other medical professionals.

More than the math, however, is the complete disregard for any semblance of medical ethics and professionalism. They admit they've had 'limited opportunities' to examine Donald Trump. This is, at best, an understatement. Not one of these professionals is Trump's physician. They are looking at media clips and making medical judgements and diagnoses based on that footage. They have not personally examined Trump.

This is also unethical and should disqualify any opinion they have on the matter.

I would also like to ask these professionals where the letter expressing concern about President Joe Biden is. Perhaps it got lost in the mail. But given Biden's rambling, often incoherent, wandering, and frequently testy public appearances why weren't 'Doctors for Harris' concerned about the cognitive health and decline of the sitting president?

We all know why.

They don't actually care about Trump's mental acuity, because they didn't care about Biden's. All they care about is the (D) after Biden's name and the (R) after Trump's. They do not care that Joe Biden has access to the nuclear codes and remains in charge of the country. If they did, they'd demand Biden leave office and hand the reins over to Kamala today.

But they won't. And we all know why they won't do that, too.

The beam in their eyes is just too darned big.
