Yesterday, we told you about how the Left is pouncing on an increase in infant mortality in Texas, following the passage of the state's abortion ban.
The Left -- an an alarming number of so-called 'conservatives' -- took the news as proof the abortion ban is cruel.

This is absolutely disgusting.
I want to make it clear what they are advocating here -- wholesale eugenics.
Things that would make even Margaret Sanger blush.

In the wake of Dobbs, I've argued that the hard work of winning over hearts and minds on abortion is just starting. Legislation is just that -- legislation. The law. Perhaps people will follow the law, because they fear the penalties for not doing so. And that's fine. That's what civilized societies are based on (and we see what happens when you don't follow and enforce the laws; just look at any blue city in the country. But I digress).
The Left has spent decades telling us an unborn child is just a clump of cells, a thing that is not human (but when you ask them what it is -- a chicken? a dolphin? -- they never seem to have an answer. Therefore, it is okay to destroy that thing, especially if it's inconvenient or unwanted.
The advent of the ultrasound, and the technological advances in health care, have shown us that an unborn child (who is human from the moment of conception) is not a 'clump of cells' and is distinctly human -- with a heartbeat, nervous system, etc. -- from very early on in a pregnancy.
Never letting facts and science get in the way of their agenda, however, the Left took to lying about abortion laws, saying women experiencing miscarriages will be denied care under the draconian legislation passed by mean ol' Republicans. This is not only untrue, it actually puts women's lives at risk. But the Democratic Party is okay with that, because if a woman dies, it helps their agenda.
Ghouls.
But back to the point at hand.
An unborn child, even one with congenital defects, is still a human being. Still someone's son or daughter. They deserve nothing less than the full dignity of that humanity, and that includes protection from being ripped apart in the womb.
Notice how in the above post, Tom 'The Expert' Nichols and Jill Filipovic lament how born babies will 'suffer', but they don't seem to care about the pain unborn children feel in abortion.
It is unequivocally evil and depraved to say that children with genetic defects should be aborted. Full stop.
There is no difference in humanity between an unborn child who is healthy and one who has a congenital defect. They are both human beings. It is wrong to kill either of them, for any reason.
If the standard for abortion is 'children will suffer and die' if they are born, there is no logical way this doesn't end with the elimination of born-children and adults who will 'suffer and die', and I know that I'm right.
How do I know that?
Look at Europe and Canada -- where 'assisted suicide' programs are being expanding to include non-terminal things like depression and anorexia, where veterans who served their country admirably are told to end their lives rather than be a burden on the state.
And it starts with abortion. When it's okay to kill an unborn child because she's inconvenient, or unwanted, or imperfect -- it's okay to do that to anyone, and for the same reasons.
Josef Mengele would be so proud of you.
The rest of us hold you in the utmost contempt.
