Tiger’s tampon moment leads to various questions: Do all male golfers carry tampons onto the course, or is it just Tiger? We know women golfers do, but maybe it’s a male golfer thing now too. How does Tiger get his tampons? Buy his own? Steal them from the women’s locker room?

Tiger’s tampon is far from the biggest sports issue but it does play into the old narrative that golf leaders are desperately trying to change, clearly with limited success: That golf is for men and men alone, including those grown men who apparently still act like teenagers.

Heaven forbid men make jokes with each other, right? You would think we have enough going on in the world without getting our hair on fire over what one golfer says to another.
The whole opinion column is a cringe-fest but this bit in particular stands out:
I wonder, does Tiger buy his own tampons? Does he have a supplier, a woman he knows who gets them for him? Or does he simply steal them out of the women’s locker room at country clubs when no one is looking?

For complaining about a man acting like a teenager, Brennan sure sounds like a teenage girl herself.
Actually, that’s probably an insult to teenage girls.

I think women are just as capable of men and also find it funny in a very sophomoric way. I would consider myself very liberal but I fear policing every minor joke/slight impedes progress and draws line in sand when it comes to bigger issues that truly matter
