From NBC 11 in Georgia:
The family of 18 year old Ervin Jefferson is grieving, aching for police to investigate the two men who shot and killed Ervin outside the family’s home Saturday night.
Police are saying that the killers are two private security guards.
11Alive News has not yet been able to contact the security guards for their descriptions of what happened.
“Why do you think your son was shot?” asked 11Alive’s Jon Shirek.
“He was trying to protect us,” said Ervin’s mother, Candy Grimes.
He ran outside their home on Pleasantwood Drive, off of I-20 and Wesley Chapel Road just outside the Perimeter. He was unarmed, they said, as he ran toward a crowd of people who had driven up in at least two cars, threatening his sister.
“We heard gunshots,” Candy Grimes said through her tears. “I seen the dude in the green shirt shoot my son. I seen the guy, he had two hands, and he shot my son.”
