Posters say it was clear the whole time, the Democrat Party saw a chance to juice up election turnout and seized it. Not caring how damaging and stressful it was for the entire country.

Americans couldn’t pay their bills, many were worried about feeding their families, while the specter of not spending Thanksgiving with family members because of cancelled flights hung over everything.
Many Democrats thought that was worth getting movement on Obamacare and securing money for illegal aliens. Now, they’re enraged that their party played them.

The problem Dems have is the actual purpose of the shutdown was to help w the election, but they convinced their base that they were fighting for policy demands (they knew they would never get).

So now their base is furious at them for giving up but they have no other off-ramp.
Now, President Donald Trump and the Republican Party are celebrating. The bill now moves from the Senate to the House and eventually to Trump’s desk to be signed. The Democrat Party has nothing to show for the Schumer Shutdown except a handful of election victories in blue states. Their voters are now turning their sights on the party that they feel betrayed them. It’s going to be ugly. But from the other side, it’s hilarious. Sit back and enjoy the show.
