Freedom of the Press is a right all Americans have. Thanks to technology, more Americans than ever are exercising this right online. Democrats hate this. It becomes nearly impossible for ‘news’ agencies to push lies and fake narratives when millions of average Americans can refute them in real-time. So, it’s no surprise that former President Barack Obama wants a Democrat-led federal government to squash all these upstart Americans enjoying and fully exercising their First Amendment rights.
Here’s more on Obama’s plan. (READ)
Barack Obama says the quiet part out loud — it’s time to “experiment” with “new forms of journalism” with “government regulatory constraints.”
“Part of what we’re going to have to do is to start experimenting with new forms of journalism and how we use social media in ways that reaffirm facts and separate facts from opinion. We want diversity of opinion. We don’t want diversity of facts. That, I think, is one of the big tasks of social media. By the way, it will require some government regulatory constraints…”

No freedom-loving American wants what Obama’s cooking up.
The reason is pretty simple: government censorship is anti-American. Commenters know exactly what Obama is proposing.
Such an elegant way of saying,

‘I support government censorship of online speech’.
Nope, he meant: 'I support government censorship of online speech I disagree with'.

“The government will decide what facts are.”

Pretty much.

We already experienced this with Twitter before Elon Musk bought it.
Posters say the government’s track record on truth is horrible.
And he would like the Democrats to be the arbiters of truth, no doubt. To be the ones that decide which things are facts. Even though they've gotten almost everything wrong.

I’ve lost track of the number of times something had been called “conspiracy theory” only to be proven true months later.

It seems like almost every single time.

He basically says it. "What we're going to have to do..." WE, eh?

He means Democrats.
The Democrat Party’s legacy media is dying in a fit of irrelevancy, so their first instinct is to control the ‘new media’, which is rapidly replacing it.
Funny how it's not called censorship when democrats want to control the media.

Censorship now goes by the phrase, “new forms of journalism.”

Yep.

“regulatory constraints”
New, more regulated, more restrictive, more nuanced, more scripted "journalism"...

Last week: NO KINGS!!!
— Ava- I Love My USA! 🇺🇸 (@WEdwarda) October 29, 2025
This week: We need to have government control over the media.
For a party that screams it wants no kings, the Democrat Party has no problem forcing Americans exercising their First Amendment rights to be its subjects.
