It mostly comes down to turnout and the fact that Trump's name is not on the ballot. Republicans need to break out of this destructive habit of skipping the midterms. With TPUSA energized after Charlie Kirk’s murder, maybe an energetic youth movement can rock the upcoming 2026 elections. Trump is also planning a rare midterm GOP convention. That should also help with turnout.
