Talk show host Bill Maher says he’s invited prominent Democrats to be on his show several times over the years, but they flat out refuse. In contrast, Republicans flock to his show ready to debate issues and defend their stances. On Friday, he called out fraidycat Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris for running from the political spotlight and the scrutiny of his debate and discussion show.

Maher exposed the cowardice perfectly. Democrats hide from tough questions while Republicans face the heat head on. It shows who has conviction and who only survives in the comfort of soft media bubbles.

Maher is left-leaning, but unlike MSNBC and CNN hosts, he’s not going to give Democrats the talk show tongue baths they’re accustomed to.
One poster says Democrats are not used to being challenged and forced to defend their stances; this has left them soft and flabby when it comes to engaging in rigorous debate.
While Maher agrees with MOST things, he does not march in lockstep on EVERYthing. This allows room for exposure of flaws in both their reasoning and their policies were they to go on his show. They have never had to think deeply about what they believe or why because they are never asked to defend their beliefs in any meaningful way by a press that acts more like cheerleaders than truth seekers. So instead, they hide where it’s safe and cozy inside their bubble.

As one of the posters above said, you can’t shame Democrats. They are impervious to it. The truth is, many of these prominent Democrats refuse to go on Maher’s show because they can’t think on their feet, handle disagreement like an adult, or defend their positions rationally. We suspect they’re fools, but going on Maher’s show will just confirm it.
