I’m laughing at the Democrat Party right now. The party’s refusal to coalesce around a single leader or singular message outside of ‘We hate Trump’ means several Dems are venturing out on their own. You have the ridiculous Tim Walz doing fake town halls, you have reliably ignorant Jasmine Crockett stepping out in front of every camera she can find, and then you have Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on their ‘Hooray for Marxism’ tour.
AOC is drawing a lot of attention from those rallies and on Monday a reporter asked House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries about her becoming the face of the party and Republicans using her as a ‘bogeyman.’

There you have it. The party is not going to do anything to restrain AOC. They’re just going to let her do her thing. Her thing is pushing the party further to the left while the country is trending rightward.
I’m fine with it. Commenters who vote Republican say let the Dems destroy themselves.
Pick your poison - AOC or Jasmine Crockett. Both are getting considerable air time.
I'd argue Jasmine Crockett is doing way more harm vs AOC - especially after calling for violence against Ted Cruz and vandalism against Tesla and Elon Musk.
Oh, and not like Hakeem is a gift to the party either.IMO they need to clean house and start from scratch. They're doomed.

The reporter was right, AOC will be the gift that keeps on giving for Republicans. I expect they are already grabbing sound bites from these rallies for the midterm elections. Jeffries could put a stop to that right now, but it would require him to become a true leader of his party. Thankfully, he’s never going to do that.
