Ruby slipper found at scene of Michigan tornado

While cleaning up the overwhelming amount of debris, a construction worker found something ironic… an item of dreams.

“There was a lot of metal from the garage next door on the car. We were just  trying to clean the debris off the car,” said Mark Santavy of Young and Sons  Construction. “I look down and see this red shoe, a ruby red slipper.”

Santavy says he found himself looking down Wilson Street in Dexter for  Dorothy. He thought once again, perhaps… the famous ruby red slipper wearing  star of “The Wizard of Oz” wasn’t in Kansas anymore.

“I showed it to the home’s owner. He got a chuckle out of it,” said  Santavy.
