Meet the Iowa Ambassadors of Music Choir, a group of young men and women who happened to be onboard the same flight as an Army private who was escorting the remains of a WWII soldier.
When the airline captain announced that the Army private would be let off the plane first, the choir stood up in their seats and began sining “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”.
Another passenger, Diane Hollifield Cupp, was overcome by the display of patriotism and began recording with her cell phone.
“To see those young people do that just melted my heart,” Cupp told Channel 2 Action News. It was absolutely beautiful, to see the respect that these kids had, I just had to capture it. It was an awesome treat for me and something I will never forget.”
You’ll be hard pressed to find someone who disagrees:
Beautiful.
