Sometimes the world needs stories like this one that prove kindness hasn’t gone extinct.
Last weekend, Tallahassee resident Dennis Williams received a text message informing him that a family was having a baby.
“We are at the hospital. Having a baby today!” the text read, followed by, “She has dilated to between 5-6.”
The only problem?
Denis Williams and his brother, Deorick, had no idea who these people were. Not only that, but the family, Mark and Lindsey Knox, were at a hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia – over an hour drive away.
After realizing their mistake, the Knox family apologized for including the two brothers on a group text message. But when the brothers told them they were coming with gifts, no one thought they were being serious.
Sure enough, the Williams brothers actually arrived at the hospital room to celebrate the birth of Casey Knox. In addition to trekking over an hour, the two came with diapers, pacifiers, and baby bottles to help out the new family.
After it was all said and done, Lindsey Knox posted a thank you to the two “honorary uncles” for their act of pure kindness.
