Sen. Jeff Flake bravely comes out against federal funding of CT scans for sharks

In case you haven’t heard, billionaire Mark Cuban and conservative pundit Ann Coulter have been cast to play President and Vice President of the United States in Sharknado 3. Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., referenced that bit of entertainment news in stating his opposition to a National Science Foundation grant that will use 21st century imaging technology to study the skeletal systems of sharks and rays.

In separate news, Flake has been helping Democrats who want to rubber stamp President Obama’s executive amnesty.

The cost of the shark study: $150,000.

The estimated cost of Obama’s amnesty: $2 trillion.
