Guess how many people showed up to watch the Los Angeles Kwanzaa parade

Yesterday, in Los Angeles, a social commentator named Jasmyne Cannick documented a parade in honor of Kwanzaa.

Unfortunately, the number people who watched was, shall we say, a bit on the low side.

A close analysis by Twitchy’s crack investigative team reveals a whopping two attendees in that photo:

two people

OK, just kidding. Those are just two guys out for a walk.

They made a right turn. The gall!

As you can see, a massive throng of parade attendees witnessed it:

throng of one

Twitchy alumnus Sooper Mexican estimated that four people attended the post-parade “Black Lives Matter” rally at Leimert Park. In an update, however, he downgraded this estimate to three.

If she’s being sarcastic, that’s pretty funny.

Would that be the same Najee Ali who served time in prison for trying to bribe a witness in a court case involving his daughter?

Matrice Richardson was a mentally ill woman who apparently committed suicide. Conspiracy theorists believe that Los Angeles police are covering up a murder.

More photos:

Reporter Greg Mills, who was there, says the parade shut down after just 10 minutes.

It looks like a scene from The Walking Dead, minus the walkers.

Don’t these people know #KwanzaaParadesMatter?

Here’s how Mills’ employer, CBS Los Angeles, covered the event:

The 38th annual KwanZaa Gwaride parade made its way down Crenshaw Boulevard Friday, marking the start of the seven-day festival of Kwanzaa.

The gwaride began at the corner of Crenshaw and Adams boulevards, headed south along Crenshaw to Leimert Park, where organizers held a “Black Lives Matter” rally.

Some participants walked the parade carrying signs underlining important issues to the community, such as police brutality, home foreclosures, judicial corruption, transparency in government and environmental racism.

No mention that the parade lasted only 10 minutes. No mention of the lack of attendees. Hooray for real journalism!
