Ferguson police stand down; Looters run wild again; Local store owners plead for help: 'Where the cops at?'

Ferguson, Mo., police — who had been accused earlier this week of responding to rioters in an overly aggressive manner — decided to back off last night and early this morning. The result was entirely predictable:

This was posted at 5:26 am, presumably long after the looters returned to their homes.

On the bright side, at least nobody was complaining about militarization of the police last night.
