This afternoon, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney discussed the possibility that President Obama will support a legislative or administrative fix to his if-you-like-it-keep it health insurance pledge.
CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller tried to make sense of Carney’s statements, but as you can see it was pretty rough going:

Carney did say Pres Obama directed aides to come up with a "range of options" to address the problem.

But Carney did speak out against legislation that would tell insurers they can sell "substandard plans to anybody who might purchase them."

In other words, Obama is willing to consider all kinds of options, but he opposes any proposal that would allow people to keep the “substandard” health plans outlawed by Obamacare.
