We thought the Supreme Court was supposed to consider whether laws are constitutional, not whether they are popular or were passed by wide margins in Congress. Silly us!

In any case, we look forward to seeing if Sen. Reid applies the same logic toward the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which was passed by large majorities in the U.S. House (342-67) and Senate (85-14) and signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1996.
