Liberals didn’t vote in 2008 in Michigan? Where Barack Obama beat  John McCain by 16 points? Really?

LANSING — Michigan voters turned out in record numbers for Tuesday’s [2008 presidential] election, topping 5 million for the first time in state history, elections officials said Wednesday.

So this low turnout — which wasn’t actually low at all — explains why the Tea Party performed well two years later?
