It’s still very, very early, but Democratic Rep. Pete Stark is currently about 200 votes short of his Democrat challenger, Eric Swalwell.
Stark has been in Congress since 1973. According to Wikipedia, he is the fifth most senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
The entrenched incumbent’s diatribes and rants against his constituents, town hall questioners, senior citizens, interviewers, and everyone else under the sun, are infamous.
Maybe California has finally had enough.
Maybe.
Update: Stark has pulled ahead and is now leading Swalwell by several thousand votes. Sigh.
