Well that’s awkward.
Speaking before the New York City GOP gala last night, Ted Cruz had a tough time keeping the crowd’s attention. He delivered his remarks with his usual dramatic style, but instead of applause, attendees ate, drank, and some even left the room.

In the lead-up to the state primary on Tuesday, Cruz’s previous remarks about “New York values” have caught up to him, and his attempted recovery so far looks less than successful.
