As it’s known to do, Twitter killed somebody off tonight. This time, though, the victim was Facebook. Riding on the heels of the disastrous Facebook IPO and the news that Twitter usage has doubled since last year, tweeps decided to hold their own mock funeral for Big Blue.

Thus, “RIP Facebook” was born:

In case it wasn’t clear yet, Twitter really doesn’t like Facebook. The animosity was even enough to land “RIP Facebook” on the list of worldwide trending topics for a time.
