Who wants to tell her? Actress Kristen Stewart thinks her anti-gun short will 'kick ass'

Remember “Miss Sloane”? Honestly, we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t. The pro-gun-control vehicle starring Jessica Chastain totally tanked at the box office — and apparently Hollywood liberals haven’t learned a damn thing from its disastrous performance. Because actress Kristen Stewart is back for more, and she’s convinced “it’s going to kick ass”:

We can’t deny that the video alone is pretty convincing, but just in case, here’s more from the Hollywood Reporter:

“My next thing is going to kick ass. It’s [a short film] about gun control,” she told THR while visiting The Hollywood Reporter’s Sundance lounge, adding that Refinery29 has signed on to make the film (Come Swim was produced via the Refinery29’s Shatterbox Anthology).

“You don’t have to be a politically involved person to be uber aware of the fact that very basic humanitarian ideas are being so incredibly trampled on,” said Stewart.

“My movie is about some guy who goes through heartbreak and is super sad about it, and that was my friend thing I was thinking about for three years. And it feels really first-world white people problems, and I came here a little bit nervous about it considering the timing because people are going to be like — that doesn’t matter,” she said. “But I feel like things are going to shift in this really beautiful way.”

Wow. That is, like, so über-deep and stuff. Aren’t you people, like, so totally impressed?

Something tells us that Kristen’s gonna win a crapload of hearts and minds with this film.

Someone’s ass will get kicked, all right: Hollywood’s. Again.
