'Hi bro sign my pump!!' Brad Woodhouse gets owned — by his conservative brother

Oh dear. This is awkward!

For a while, American Bridge president Brad Woodhouse thought he was having a pretty awesome day. He couldn’t contain his excitement over a video purportedly showing GOP Senate hopeful David Perdue autographing “a young woman’s torso”:

In an effort to help spread the story far and wide, Brad also gleefully retweeted all these:

Too bad that BuzzFeed article he was pushing …

Had no basis in fact. The video’s been pulled, and here’s why, via HotAir:

“David was asked to sign an individual’s diabetic pump to help raise awareness for juvenile diabetes,” said Megan Whittemore, a Perdue spokesperson. “This was a Georgia family who shared their personal story of their struggle with ObamaCare and the rising health care costs associated with their daughter’s treatment which is not being covered by their insurance.”

No harm, no foul. Right? Wrong:

Oof.

And who pushed that BuzzFeed story like there was no tomorrow? Rhymes with “Shmad Shmoodhouse” …

Nice try, jerk. You knew exactly what you had — and you decided you’d try to turn it into something else.

Well, that plan backfired. And now he looks like an even bigger jackass. He knows it — and so does his conservative brother:

Perdue even weighed in:

Oh, snap!
