Washington D.C. is home to several memorials to our fallen troops. GOP Sen. Joni Ernst has proposed another one, this one to members of our military who fought and gave their lives in the Global War on Terrorism.
Doesn’t seem like something that would come up against too many roadblocks.
And yet:
A Senate Democrat once again blocked my bill to create a memorial on the National Mall to those who served in the Global War on Terrorism. WATCH ⤵️ pic.twitter.com/Od9xCL4yGM

What is the reasoning behind blocking such a bill?

Again, why would anybody oppose this memorial? Our Gold Star families deserve an explanation. https://t.co/NtCcbuwHBl

Not everyone thinks an explanation is necessary. Because they’re too busy using Ernst’s frustration to dunk on and disparage her and her bill (which, incidentally, has support from some Senate Dems, too):
When- was the last time you voted for something a Democrat wanted, so they might vote for your bill? When was the lady’s time YOU broke ranks with the GOP monolith, and voted using your conscience, not Mitch’s?

Just like Rethuglicans blocking bills to rais the debt ceiling, right Jody? Which will cause more harm to the country Jody? Not spending money on a new monument or defaulting on the debt accumulated under Dump? Weird that you want to add more debt and then not pay for it, Jody.

You reap what you sow, Joni.
If you spend all your time acting like a hack you can't cry when others treat you accordingly…

Well maybe if you Republicans didn't block EVERY bill Democrats are trying to through Congress to help the American People. Karma is a bitch though!

Doesn't it suck when the opposing party blocks a Bill just because you want to be a Dick?

Joni…. So grateful that a “Democrat” saw through this “reckless spending”. Again, why don’t we use the money to stamp out white supremacist terrorist orgs right here in America? I’ll bet you even have a few in Iowa. Good place to start. Your R colleagues are blocking things too.

Unless Ernst’s proposed memorial has a $3.5 trillion price tag that also allocates tons of money toward things that have literally absolutely nothing to do with the memorial, we’re not quite sure how blocking her bill is the same as Republicans standing in the way of the “infrastructure” bill.
