We’re not sure who still believes a word coming out of China’s mouth when it comes to COVID19 (or most things, really). But the ChiComs apparently think there are enough people out there to merit a continued campaign of brazen misinformation.
It’s been more than a year since China unleashed COVID19 upon the world by engaging in a systematic effort to downplay the severity of the virus as well as downplay the Chinese government’s own starring role in the pandemic.
And today, they’re still at it:
Four keywords for China’s COVID-19 response: openness, transparency, science&responsibility. And the US: scapegoating, blame-shifting, stigmatization&politicization. It is unethical and irresponsible for US side to blame China whenever the COVID-19 topic is brought up.

In the US, there are over 31m confirmed COVID-19 cases and 560,000 deaths, 300 times and 110 times that of China respectively. Their epidemic response is nothing short of a mess and total failure. What right do certain US politicians have to criticize China on its response? pic.twitter.com/mYBQZ3E9WW

Just in case you didn’t get the message the first time around, here’s the exact same one from Lijian Zhao, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s so-called Information Department:

We’d say “certain US politicians” have more than just a right to criticize China on its response; they have a responsibility.
As do we. It’s incumbent upon us to shine a glaring spotlight on the Chinese government’s absolutely shameless propagandizing and gaslighting.

Exactly.
Why is it irresponsible to bring up China as the cause for this pandemic? You released it upon the world. Your government should face consequences.
