David Frum has been on the Principled Conservative™ train for even longer than than the clowns at the Bulwark and the Lincoln Project. He’s kind of like their godfather, if you will.
So it should come as no surprise that he’s pleased about Democrats’ victory in Georgia.
Actually, he’s not just pleased; he’s downright excited!
Looking forward to casting my ballot for a Representative and Senators in the District of Columbia.
DC has more people than Vermont and Wyoming, and by 2030 will overtake Alaska and North Dakota.
It contributes more to federal Treasury than 2 dozen states. (Most of them red)

Who wants to tell him?
Can someone please get this poor man a Constitution? https://t.co/onooqP2kTC

He thinks a small Dem majority can do this. https://t.co/jP5STgV6Pk pic.twitter.com/ZkNy4zygW3

Except, you know, for that whole pesky “It would require a constitutional amendment” thing, you douchenozzle. https://t.co/4SKnW9v16w

A slim majority in Congress does not a constitutional amendment make https://t.co/IC7XuZTPMx

First of all, it will likely require a constitutional amendment. A small Democratic majority won't cut it.
And it's not "contributions," David. It's taxes. And it's a large share because the cost of living requires a substantial income. https://t.co/m0kTTSq5o3

The District of Columbia is not a state, or part of another state, for a very specific reason.
If you don't understand why, then you don't understand how America was founded, or how it's supposed to operate. https://t.co/MBV5MpjQIa

This won’t pass, but ffs, y’all kinda prove this isn’t about democracy when it becomes a political scheme to add more seats. DC isn’t a state for a reason. https://t.co/ooeYz9LYSg

And David Frum is not respected by conservatives for a reason. Several, actually. But this is one of them.
I didn’t think you could have this bad of a take of statehood and hate poor people in the same statement https://t.co/95Uo5qLiNg
