Barack Obama’s former U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power is very troubled by the state of America’s election discourse.
And why shouldn’t she be? After all, Donald Trump and a significant number of his supporters are asserting that he won the presidential election despite having little concrete evidence to support that claim.
So Power took to Twitter today to warn us:
Our democracy is in deep, deep peril if a significant number of Americans are only prepared to see election results as legitimate if their preferred candidate wins.
