Our readers are well aware that we generally don’t build our posts around a tweet from someone no one’s ever heard of … but every once in a while, a real gem comes along that we just can’t ignore.
This is one of those gems, and it’s from Lisa Hendricks, a national volunteer with Moms Demand who, for the record, lists her preferred pronouns as she/her. It seems Lisa’s daughter is a big fan of Elizabeth Warren and turns to Warren when things get scary. Well, Lisa just had to share that with the world:
I found my 5yo daughter’s Elizabeth Warren action figure in her bed when I was making it this morning. When I asked her why, she said “I was scared and she makes me feel brave”. Warren is inspiring a whole generation of litle girls to grow up and move mountains. pic.twitter.com/EgB7syximI

Or, Warren is inspiring a whole generation of little girls to lie through their teeth.
She knew I posted this (because I asked first) and she just asked to hear what people said. One dude (now blocked) said it never happened. She said “oh, just tell him I had a bad dream and was scared, I got her off my dresser to be brave”. She’s so freaking wholesome.

Not sure how “wholesome” it is to let your daughter think that Elizabeth Warren can keep her safe, but we’re not gonna tell you how to parent your child. Just be aware that you’re setting her up for severe disappointment. And lying to her, of course.
Why do the children of liberal activists always seem to spontaneously burst forth with tweet-ready political pronouncements that so perfectly match their parents' views?

Yes it’s comforting to have a mean person in bed with you.

Too bad Wonder woman isn't around with her lasso of truth, we could use it on Warren.

It's a toy and she doesn't know who Elizabeth Warren really is. To be fair, Elizabeth Warren doesn't know who she really is. She has lied about her history so many times she can't possibly know the truth anymore. Great hero.

Ugh.
