Disgraced ex-Rep. Katie Hill isn't convinced that Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell will take their oath to 'do impartial justice' seriously (unlike Senate Dems)

Disgraced ex-Rep. Katie Hill isn’t in any position to play a role in Donald Trump’s impeachment — you know, since she’s a disgraced ex-rep. — but that’s not stopping her from self-righteously weighing in anyway:

Hill cites an “analysis” by CNN’s Zachary B. Wolf for evidence that we all need to be very concerned about Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham’s ability to take their oath seriously:

At least two Republicans, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, have said they aren’t impartial jurors in this process. McConnell is coordinating with the White House about a trial strategy and Graham has also given input. “I’m not an impartial juror,” McConnell told reporters the day before the House impeachment vote. “This is a political process. There is not anything judicial about it. Impeachment is a political decision.”

It’s awkward, then, that McConnell and every other senator, according to Article 1 of the Constitution, shall “be on oath or affirmation” when they try impeachments.

Is there a difference between being “an impartial juror,” which McConnell says he’s not, and doing “impartial justice according to the Constitution,” which he will presumably swear to do?

Yeah, how dare McConnell say outright that he’s not an impartial juror. He should’ve just taken a cue from his Democratic colleagues instead:

And Lord knows Adam Schiff, AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, et al. were totally impartial throughout the House’s portion of this circus.

But aside from that, even, the notion of Hill up there on her high horse suggesting that Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham are ethically challenged is pretty hilarious considering what she did to become a disgraced ex-rep. We know there was nothing in the oath she swore that said “I will not have sexual relations with my subordinates,” but we thought that was pretty much understood.
