As Twitchy told you, “Saturday Night Live” has officially axed comic Shane Gillis from the cast of their upcoming season over past “offensive, hurtful and unacceptable” remarks about various minorities including Asians and members of the LGBTQ community. Because Lord knows that that sort of talk is unprecedented among SNL cast members.
Well anyway, a lot of people in Gillis’ position would feel like they have to go on some sort of apology tour. But Gillis is apparently not quite ready for that yet. At least not via the expected route. Here’s his response to getting canned:

Dang.
Needless to say, there’s no shortage of people who aren’t satisfied with that:
Racism and homophobia do not a comedian make.

this apology isn't it.
Really shows that you don't feel remorse for what you said.

I hope you one day learn that there is nothing “edgy” or “risky” about outright bigotry to anyone but white men who have such privilege in the world, punching down is all they know.
Sorry to this man.

Hahaha you got what you deserved ???

It was taken away. Because white supremacy isn't funny and never was. Deal with it.

You didn't "get" SNL. Your name will never be on the opening credits, it will never be listed as a writer, your photo will never hang at 30Rock.
You are just a homophobic, misogynistic, racist who will be forgotten. Hope the door hits you on the way out.

Well, we’re gonna go out on a limb and suggest that Gillis probably won’t lose too much sleep over offending them.
Chin up brother. Something better will come along. Not for the best reasons, but a whole lot more people know who Shane Gillis is now. #hellyeah
