'That's frightening': No big deal, just German Chancellor Angela Merkel feeling 'solidarity with the' anti-Semitic Squad

Good news, everyone. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has weighed in on Donald Trump’s problematic remarks about the Squad:

#Merkel on Trump #Squad comments: „I distance myself completely from these statements and feel solidarity with the women“

ewww, The leader of Germany siding with a rabid anti-semite really isn't great optics.

Merkel, the German Chancellor, feels solidarity with a woman who has been criticised for her anti-Semitic aberrations. I am speechless.

Merkel finding “solidarity” with women who have either engaged in grotesque anti-Semitism or robustly defended it is a horrible look. https://t.co/xbeBuCN9it

Solidarity with antisemites?

— Boris (@MephrosListens) July 19, 2019

So Merkel is down with the anti-semites?

I’ll say she hasn’t given this any thought and is purely reacting with typical anti-Trump fervor

My condolences to the citizens of Germany. Ms Merkel is aligning herself with antisemites

I find it deeply troubling that the German Chancellor went out of her way to show solidarity with a group of women who are vicious anti-Semites and regularly engage in Holocaust trivialization. Does Merkel need a refresher course on German history? https://t.co/LMilYHw0Y4

She needs a refresher course on Holocaust.

That's frightening that Merkel the leader of Germany is embracing anti semitism.

I though she was better than that. Really sad.

Narrator: She was not, in fact, better than that.
