'Absolutely disgusting': So, this is the strategy Jussie Smollett's legal team is going with now?

At least as far as the Chicago State’s Attorney’s Office is concerned, Jussie Smollett has done enough to clear his good name. Or at least to meet their criteria for rehabilitation so that he can just get back to making an honest living.

Obviously it’s not white privilege at work … but it’s most definitely privilege.

It would appear that way, yes:

Remember that time today when Smollett proclaimed that he “will always continue to fight for the justice, equality and betterment of marginalized people everywhere”? Yeah, well, guess that willingness to fight doesn’t extend to the Nigerian brothers he’s marginalizing by lying about them to protect himself.

It’s pretty clear what Smollett’s motivation is.

Smollett got what he needed from them. They’re no good to him now, so under the bus they go.

One word: Privilege. Smollett has it. The Osundairos don’t. But hopefully they’ll find a way to fight back.
