'Shut the f*ck up'! Deadspin, Out seek to destroy 'dangerous' Chad Felix Greene and gay conservatives

As Twitchy told you last night, Chad Felix Greene recently wrote a piece for the Federalist about his experience coming out as a conservative, how for him, the “stigma” surrounding his conservatism has been much worse than that surrounding his sexuality:

The truth is, I have never faced abuse on Twitter for being gay, but I certainly have for being conservative. I am confident my expression as a gay man would be free and celebrated there and elsewhere, but my unique point of view as a conservative is viewed with suspicion and hostility.

Predictably, Greene faced a lot of pushback for that, not from icky intolerant, bigoted conservatives, but from the ostensibly tolerant Left. But if you thought yesterday was bad, you haven’t seen anything yet.

Boy, did he ever.

Lauren Theisen writes:

Normally, The Federalist farting out some jaw-droppingly stupid false equivalence is just another weekday, but conservative gays using their sexuality as a means to defend their abhorrent views have become more and more common as queers win more widespread acceptance. (Some possibly relevant personal background: I identified as a gay male during my teen years, but now I’m probably more like trans female or genderqueer or something more fun like that.) Opportunities that would have been previously unavailable for out gays in fields like business or politics are opening up like never before, giving LGBT people newfound power to create change within the systems that previously oppressed them. But wealthy and mostly white gay men have all too often been afforded the choice not just to shed the “oppressed” label, but to become oppressors themselves. Their sexuality, then, becomes a tool used to help uphold the anti-feminist, white supremacist, wealth-favoring status quo, and they need to f*cking stop.

Honestly, I don’t blame most of the men I’ve mentioned for acting in their own personal self-interest. You do what you gotta do to make a living, I suppose, and a few more gays voting Republican won’t bring about the apocalypse any faster. Where these guys get really dangerous, however, is when we give them the microphone and the authority to tell us who we should and shouldn’t care about. “I’ve been discriminated against,” these gay male narratives tell you, “So believe me when I say that [women/immigrants/trannies/poor people] aren’t the real victims here.” If too many people believe those words, all of the fantastic, revolutionary ideals of freedom and empathy that formed the foundation of queer liberation will quickly fade away, and almost all of us will be worse off for it. I know it’s naive to think these dudes are ever going to shut the f*ck up. But the least the rest of us could do is stop listening to them.

Yeah, anything to avoid acknowledging that there are people out there who don’t agree with the worldview you’ve assigned to them.

With all due respect, Lauren — and we’re not suggesting that any respect is due to you — maybe you’re the one who needs to shut up.

Deadspin’s supposed to write about sports. Does trying to silence gay conservatives count as a sport?

The wokest.

Does anyone else notice the way so many on the Left will lambaste the GOP and conservatives for not being inclusive when it comes to minorities and then in the next breath mock and shame any minorities who identify as conservative?

Conservatives literally can’t win — and that’s exactly how the Left wants it.

Sorry, hard to concentrate when these crickets are so loud.

No kidding. But hey, Deadspin, take heart. You’re not the only media outlet losing your grip over Chad Felix Greene. Here’s Out Magazine to bat cleanup:

Greene shared some choice bits from that piece as well:

Just dripping with tolerance.

They’re so hell-bent on destroying people like Chad Felix Greene that they don’t even realize they’re destroying themselves.

Take a bow, lefties.
