Christine Blasey Ford took plenty of heat for accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault on shaky-as-hell grounds, but there’s also no doubt that she is, in fact, a victim — a victim of Democratic politicians like Dianne Feinstein, and a victim of the lawyers who were supposed to act in her best interest.
Now, Judicial Watch is taking action against Ford’s legal team to hold them accountable for their shameful and unethical conduct:
Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s attorneys likely violated the District of Columbia Rules of Professional Conduct by withholding key info from their client prior to her testimony in front of @SenJudiciary. And so @JudicialWatch filed a complaint to hold them accountable. THREAD.? https://t.co/K1LwMlhobC

Here’s Judicial Watch’s thread:
BREAKING: JW filed a complaint w/ the Board of Professional Responsibility of D.C. Court on attorneys Debra Katz, Lisa Banks, & Michael Bromwich for violating rules of professional responsibility in their representation of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. (1/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p

By not informing Dr. Ford that Senator Grassley – Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee – offered to “fly female staff investigators to meet Dr. Ford in California, or anywhere else, to obtain (her) testimony,” her attorneys violated those rules. (2/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
District of Columbia Rules of Professional Conduct that Dr. Ford’s attorneys violated: “Rule l.4(a) – A lawyer shall keep a client reasonably informed about the status of a matter and promptly comply with reasonable requests for information.” (3/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
District of Columbia Rules of Professional Conduct that Dr. Ford’s attorneys violated: “Rule 1.4(b) – A lawyer shall explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation.” (4/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
From JW’s complaint: “It is clear, by Dr. Ford’s own testimony, that her attorneys did not communicate the Committee’s multiple offers to take her testimony in California, despite the fact that this was Dr. Ford’s preferred option.” (5/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
From JW’s complaint: “In fact, Dr. Ford testified that she 'wasn’t clear on what the offer was' and regarded the possibility of investigators taking her testimony in California as 'unrealistic' — when in fact it had been specifically offered.” (6/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
From JW’s complaint: “Despite knowing of Dr. Ford’s strong preference to not travel to D.C., it was inexcusable that Dr. Ford’s attorneys neglected to inform her of the fact that the Committee investigators were willing to meet her in California.” (7/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
The misconduct of Dr. Ford’ attorneys – Ms. Katz, Ms. Banks, and Mr. Bromwich – and their failure to inform their client of the offer to have Committee staff investigate Dr. Ford in California was dishonest at worst and careless at best. (8/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
JW President @TomFitton: “We are concerned that ethics rules were violated by Dr. Ford’s attorneys during the Kavanaugh confirmation and so we took action to get accountability.” (9/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6zG4p
— Judicial Watch ? (@JudicialWatch) October 19, 2018
Additionally:
JW President @TomFitton: “We already filed a Senate ethics complaint against Senator Cory Booker over his admitted rule breaking and are considering additional steps to address the misconduct committed by Justice Kavanaugh’s opponents.” (10/10)https://t.co/dwDuT6RgVX
