Donald Trump keeps finding new ways to serve his opponents fodder on a silver platter — and his opponents keep finding new ways to screw it up. The Helsinki cluster is only the most recent example of this.
As Guy Benson so succinctly points out, Trump’s very public disdain for the intelligence community does him few favors. But credibility is a two-way street:
POTUS routinely undermines the vital work of our Intel Community, whose officers labor to identify & eliminate threats.
Yet former IC chiefs undermine their colleagues & fuel "deep state" stereotypes w/ unhinged pronouncements about "treason" & unseemly Holocaust comparisons.
