As Twitchy told you, Trump staffer Meredith McIver tried to resign after taking responsibility for Melania Trump’s now-infamous plagiarized speech. Donald Trump, however, notoriously loyal and generous guy that he is, refused to accept her resignation. Trump’s willingness to stand by McIver may not go a long way with Trump detractors, but McIver can no doubt rest easy in knowing that there’s at least one man outside the Trump campaign who’s willing to vouch for her:
