In case you missed it, last night, Track Palin was arrested on domestic violence and weapons charges. At a rally today, newly minted Trump stumper Sarah Palin addressed her son’s arrest — with an unexpected twist:
BREAKING: Palin links Obama's treatment of vets to son's domestic violence charge https://t.co/1GvJdWS4pi pic.twitter.com/5xi7KTYxrb

More from The Hill:
“[Veterans] come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen every other member of the military so sacrificially have given to this country,” she added.
…
“It starts from the top, the question though it comes from our own president, when they have to look at him and wonder, do you know what we go through, do you know what we’re trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us?”
She continued, “So when my own son is going through what he goes through coming back I can certainly relate with other families who feel these ramifications of some PTSD and some of the woundedness that our soldiers do return with.”
Many tweeters from across the political spectrum are scratching their heads — and expressing disgust:

Woah… Palin saying her son came back from Iraq "different." Blaming Obama for how veterans are treated.

Palin claims PTSD and blames Obama. You may have jumped the shark Sarah

Sad thing about Palin blaming Obama for her son is she comes close to addressing serious issues about soldiers & PTSD then misses the point.

Being a vet is not a "get out of responsibility free" card.
Standards are not lower b/c they served.
They're higher.@MelleCon @swheaton— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) January 20, 2016
Use your vet status as an excuse to choose to hurt other people?
Don't even go there.@DefendWallSt @BenHowe @swheaton— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) January 20, 2016
PTSD is a problem, not an excuse.
It doesn't make you into a monster.
I'm not going to let people use it to excuse misbehavior.— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) January 20, 2016
Vets, including ones with war-related problems, are not asking for an excuse.

Palin wading into dangerous territory here. It's clear her son beats women. Less clear it's related to combat PTSD. https://t.co/RV0VlayOPb

Palin's son arrested for beating his girlfriend and Palin blames Obama.
These are sickening people.

@thehill @BanCollectivism she's getting more progressive by the minute, now blaming others

@thehill @vcortesusmc Unreal ! Thought victimhood was a liberal trait ?
— *Patricia* (@WickedPatriot) January 20, 2016
@thehill Wow, Its really idiotic 4 Palin 2 try & blame Obama for her son's issues.
— Reggie Norman (@RCNorm) January 20, 2016
@thehill Funny of the multiple combat vets I know, none have hit their wives. She's the one disrespectful of veterans by connecting the two
— tj (@ignostic7) January 20, 2016
@thehill @SarahPalinUSA ..how about you and your son take accountability for his own actions and stop blaming someone else.

@BenHowe @thehill this is so freaking gross. As a Veteran it really pisses me off she would use her own son as a prop of her own "gain".

Ouch.
Parting food for thought:
Listen to the first line here and then think about what Trump said about McCain, her former running mate https://t.co/eUMf3sCeeN
