'Go get 'em'! NRO's Kat Timpf is 'NOT SORRY' for pissing off 'totally insane' Star Wars fans

OK, not we, per se, but society? We’re getting there.

As Twitchy reported, National Review’s Katherine Timpf joked about “Star Wars” fans on Twitter and later on “Red Eye” — and was subsequently singled out for verbal abuse, first by a nutjob with a video camera and then by a crapload of crazed “Star Wars” fans who thought her sense of humor should be an offense punishable by death. No, really.

Well, to her credit, Timpf isn’t backing down. Instead of caving to the mob, she’s taking a stand for herself and for sane people everywhere who refuse to cave to the thought and speech police:

Timpf writes:

Obviously, the totally insane whackjobs who have been attacking me don’t represent most Star Wars fans. But the fact that so many adults have responded with so much unhinged emotion astounds me. After all, I have a cat, and would never have reacted this way to someone making a joke based on the stereotypes about cat ladies being crazy and lonely or whatever. You know what I would have done? Absolutely nothing. Because I have a life, and seriously, who cares.

Bottom line: If you are telling me that I should die and/or apologize for making a joke about a movie you like, then you are too sensitive. You have the problem, not me.

I’m sick of oversensitive mobs in our overly sensitive society bullying people into saying that they’re sorry over jokes — even if the subject of the joke is something as serious as Star Wars. So, for that reason, I will not apologize.
