'Who needs Democrats?' GOP Sen. Mark Kirk calls Ind. RFRA law bigoted, 'un-American'

This afternoon, Illinois GOP Sen. Mark Kirk decided to weigh in on Indiana’s new RFRA law. Unfortunately, he probably would’ve been better off keeping quiet:

I oppose #IndianaRFRA. We should not enshrine bigotry under the cover of religion. It's bad practice & un-American. http://t.co/Fi4AaNwegd

Nice try, Senator, but no.

@SenatorKirk You're wrong on this.

— Kathy Jacobs (@kkeejj) April 1, 2015

@SenatorKirk Please explain where the bigotry is listed.

@SenatorKirk Doesn't have anything to do with bigotry, Senator.

@SenatorKirk Senator, you should do some research on #RFRA before making hyperbolic and false statements.

— Chris (Human Scum) Kieser (@ckieser13) April 1, 2015

@SenatorKirk you are absolutely 180º backwards about the bigotry that is being enshrined. Way to join the wrong crowd.

— Chris Loesch (@ChrisLoesch) April 1, 2015

@SenatorKirk Pandering to fear is bad practice as well. Keep to not pandering to Iran.

@SenatorKirk Panderers gonna pander.

— Jim Jamitis (@anthropocon) April 1, 2015

Yup.

What's worse? That @SenatorKirk is simply pandering to liberal voters or that he's stupid enough to believe this?https://t.co/k05eUuz5Dv

Great question. Here’s one more:

@SenatorKirk what about the same law in your state that @BarackObama supported? Why the focus on indiana??

— Ryan (@rkazmier) April 1, 2015

Disgraceful @SenatorKirk attack on religious liberty. http://t.co/Yy1PzxpIlo Does he oppose federal & Illinois RFRA?

— John McCormack (@McCormackJohn) April 1, 2015

@SenatorKirk BTW, what about IL's #RFRA? Idiot.

— (((WitCoHE))) (@E__Strobel) April 1, 2015

Has someone told Mark Kirk his own state has an RFRA? Or is he just a reactionary moron?
