Welp, that’s it, folks. Pack it in. Oliver Stone says that Venezuelan television doesn’t really censor voices opposing the government. Can’t argue with an expert, right?
New York Times lies again about Venezuela! See latest from @MarkWeisbrot @ceprdc http://t.co/9FU4lgSWWA
— Oliver Stone (@TheOliverStone) February 25, 2014
In a shocking (read: not remotely shocking) turn of events, Stone took some heat for his assertion. Which really, really hurt his feelings. Not only were people attacking him, but they had the gall to say mean things about his precious socialist paradise:
To those who tweet me vile and ugly comments about Venezuela—I’ve never experienced such verbal violence on social media.
— Oliver Stone (@TheOliverStone) February 25, 2014
All he’s trying to do is spread the truth — as he sees it in his delusional little mind.
Violence in Venezuela Perpetrated by the Opposition http://t.co/XglbEhqUze

Geez. Is it any wonder he’s come under fire from so many people?

But what do those people know? They didn’t make a movie:
You might watch my newest film, coming up in a week on Venezuelan TV, a documentary commemorating the first anniversary of Chavez’s death.
— Oliver Stone (@TheOliverStone) February 25, 2014
So shaddup.
Please keep your arguments and your invective non-violent, non-threatening, and non-absolutist. Let’s elevate the debate. Thank you.
