The president graciously took some time out of his busy day today to lecture us on the importance of fuel efficiency in combating climate change. In order to help stop the oceans from rising, Obama plans to improve fuel standards for medium and heavy-duty trucks by March 31, 2016. Also, supertrucks! But, lest you think these is just more entries on the president’s long list of lofty and ultimately empty promises, rest assured — he’s got this:
"We're going to double the distance our cars and light trucks can go on a gallon of gas by 2025." —President Obama

"Improving gas mileage for these trucks is going to drive down our oil imports even further." —President Obama #ActOnClimate

It’s all so simple!
Obama offers new fuel-efficient vehicle tax credits, because doing what saves money is so unnatural businesses have to be bribed to do it.

Question the media won't ask: If making trucks more fuel-efficient is so good, why does the government have to order it done?

Why should the media ask about that? If there’s one thing we’ve learned by now, it’s that we can trust implicitly in Barack Obama.
